PPMET (Punjab Para Medical Entrance Test)
PPMET stands for Punjab Para Medical Entrance Test, an entrance examination conducted in Punjab for admission into B.Sc. Nursing and other paramedical courses in colleges across the state. It is usually organized by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot.

Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification
- Must have passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as compulsory subjects.
- Minimum aggregate: 45–50% marks (varies by category).
- Age Limit
- Minimum: 17 years as on 31st December of the admission year.
- No upper age limit (subject to state guidelines).
- Domicile
- Candidates must be domicile of Punjab (some seats may be reserved for other states, if specified).
Exam Pattern
- Mode of Exam: Offline (Pen & Paper Based)
- Type: Objective type (MCQs)
- Total Questions: Around 200 (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English)
- Duration: 3 hours
- Marking Scheme:
- +1 mark for each correct answer
- No negative marking

The syllabus is based on 10+2 (NCERT/State Board) level subjects:
- Physics – Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Optics, Modern Physics
- Chemistry – Organic, Inorganic & Physical Chemistry
