The INI-CET (Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test) is a national-level postgraduate medical entrance examination conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi.
It serves as a common entrance exam for admission to MD, MS, DM (6 years), MCh (6 years), and MDS courses offered by the leading medical institutes of national importance in India.

These institutions are recognized as “Institutes of National Importance” (INI) by the Government of India.
Purpose of INI-CET
The INI-CET was introduced to replace multiple separate exams (AIIMS PG, JIPMER PG, PGIMER, and NIMHANS) with a single unified test for postgraduate medical admissions.

MS (Master of Surgery) – 3 years
DM (Doctorate of Medicine, 6 years)

MDS (Master of Dental Surgery)
Eligibility Criteria
For MD/MS Courses:
Must possess MBBS degree from an NMC-recognized institution.
Must have completed internship on or before 31st January 2025 (for the January session).
Minimum aggregate marks:
55% for General / OBC candidates
50% for SC/ST candidates
For MDS Courses:
Must have a BDS degree from a DCI-recognized institution.
Internship completion before the same deadline.

The entire registration process is conducted online through the AIIMS official website (www.aiimsexams.ac.in).

Status Check – AIIMS verifies and accepts applications.
Final Registration – Payment of fee, choice of exam city, and form submission.
Admit Card Download – Available before the exam.

INI-CET 2025 Result and Counselling
Results are released online as a merit list and individual scorecards.
Qualified candidates are called for online counselling conducted by AIIMS.
