PPMET (Punjab Para Medical Entrance Test)
PPMET stands for Punjab Para Medical Entrance Test, an entrance examination conducted in Punjab for admission into B.Sc. Nursing and other paramedical courses in colleges across the state. It is usually organized by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot.

B.Sc. Nursing (4 years)
Allied and paramedical courses (depending on the year’s notification)
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Must have passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as compulsory subjects.
Minimum aggregate: 45–50% marks (varies by category).
Age Limit
Minimum: 17 years as on 31st December of the admission year.
No upper age limit (subject to state guidelines).
Domicile
Candidates must be domicile of Punjab (some seats may be reserved for other states, if specified).
Exam Pattern
Mode of Exam: Offline (Pen & Paper Based)
Type: Objective type (MCQs)
Total Questions: Around 200 (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English)
Duration: 3 hours
Marking Scheme:
+1 mark for each correct answer
No negative marking
Syllabus
The syllabus is based on 10+2 (NCERT/State Board) level subjects:
Physics – Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Optics, Modern Physics
Chemistry – Organic, Inorganic & Physical Chemistry
Biology – Human Physiology, Plant Physiology, Genetics, Ecology, Biotechnology
English – Grammar, Vocabulary, Comprehension

Fill in the online registration form with personal & academic details.
Upload scanned documents & photographs.
Pay the application fee online.
Download admit card for the exam.
Selection & Counselling
Merit list is prepared based on PPMET score.
Shortlisted candidates are called for online/offline counselling.
Seat allotment depends on rank, preferences, and availability.
