CA-FOUNDATION Coaching in India - Delhi Career Group

The CA Foundation Course is the entry-level program for students aspiring to become Chartered Accountants (CA) in India. Conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), it serves as the first milestone in the prestigious Chartered Accountancy journey. This course is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in accounting, law, economics, and business mathematics.
Eligibility for CA Foundation
Students who have completed their Class 12th (any stream) from a recognized board are eligible to register.
Registration with ICAI must be done after 10th class, but the exam can only be attempted after completing 12th standard.
Subjects in CA Foundation
The CA Foundation syllabus covers four papers:
Principles and Practice of Accounting
Business Laws & Business Correspondence and Reporting
Business Mathematics, Logical Reasoning & Statistics
Business Economics & Business and Commercial Knowledge
Papers 1 & 2 are subjective (descriptive type).
Papers 3 & 4 are objective (MCQ-based) with negative marking.
Examination Pattern
The exam is conducted twice a year – in May/June and November/December.
Each paper carries 100 marks (total 400 marks).
Passing criteria: A student must secure at least 40% in each subject and 50% in aggregate.
